Terms and Conditions for Private Tours in Barcelona & Day Trips in Catalonia – BCITYNG

Please read these terms carefully before booking your tour with BCITYNG. 

Our policies ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests.

 

1. Introduction

BCITYNG and its website https://bcityng.com are owned and operated by Maria Carmen Barrera Soriano, NIF: 77745046D.

By making a purchase through this website, you enter into a purchase-sale contract with BCITYNG, governed by these Terms and Conditions. By using this website, you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which take effect immediately.

You may only use the content on this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use requires prior written permission from BCITYNG.

2. How to Book a Tour or Experience

To book a tour or experience:

  1. Complete the reservation form on our website.

  2. Choose the day, time, and number of participants.

  3. Review your order and payment method.

  4. Complete the payment (see Payment Methods below).

  5. Keep a copy of your reservation to show at the meeting point on the day of the activity.

3. Payment Methods

3.1 Credit Card

  • Payment can be made via our website.

  • For custom experiences, we can send you a secure payment link.

  • We accept American Express.

  • Credit card information is not stored in our system; it is only used for payment processing.

3.2 Bank Transfer

  • All bank fees are paid by the client.

3.3 TransferWise

3.4 Additional Notes:

  • A deposit or prepayment is required to confirm the reservation. The amount may vary depending on the tour or experience and its associated costs.

  • The remaining balance must be paid as agreed before or during the tour, according to the conditions specified in your booking confirmation.

  • Cash payments must always be made in Euros (EUR).

4. General Conditions of Purchase

Applicability

These terms apply to all tours and experiences purchased on our website or via other purchase methods.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years.

  • You guarantee the accuracy and completeness of the information provided when booking.

Right to Refuse

BCITYNG reserves the right not to accept reservations if:

  1. The product is no longer available or has changed significantly.

  2. Maximum number of participants is reached.

  3. Billing or payment information is incorrect or unverifiable.

  4. Payment has not been completed.

Reservation of Title

  • Experiences can only be conducted once the deposit or full payment has been made.

  • Reservations are personal and non-transferable.

Product Maintenance

  • Experiences are regularly updated on the website.

  • BCITYNG is not responsible for technical errors or omissions and does not make guarantees beyond the information displayed.

5. Taxes

  • All tours and experiences are subject to Spanish VAT (21%) in accordance with the law.

  • Individual clients in Spain must pay the full VAT.

  • Clients outside Spain who are not registered travel agencies may also be required to pay VAT.

  • BCITYNG handles all transactions securely and transparently, ensuring compliance with Spanish tax regulations.

6. Cancellations

BCITYNG Tour Cancellations

  • If BCITYNG must cancel a tour due to unforeseen events or no available guide, we will contact you immediately to find an alternative solution.

  • If rescheduling is not possible, your deposit will be fully refunded within 10 working days.

  • Walking and bike tours may be canceled in extreme weather. We will try to reschedule; if not possible, the deposit is fully refunded.

Client Cancellations

Important

  • Tours operate in all weather (sun, rain, wind). Bad weather alone is not a valid reason for cancellation.

  • BCITYNG is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by flight issues, cruise docking problems, strikes, or tourist site closures. Travel insurance is recommended.

7. Refund Policy – Private Guided Tours

More than 30 days before the tour

  • Full refund minus any non-refundable expenses (tickets, transport, attractions).

  • If no expenses were paid, 100% of your payment will be refunded (excluding bank/credit fees).

15–29 days before the tour

  • Non-refundable expenses will be deducted.

  • Remaining unused funds will be refunded.

14 days before the tour

  • 50% of our service fee is retained as a cancellation fee.

  • Refundable amounts are returned.

  • Any unrecoverable expenses are not refundable.

Less than 3 days (72 hours) before the tour

  • No refund, except for major unforeseen events (evaluated individually).

No-shows

  • Failure to join the tour or contact the guide within 25 minutes = no refund.

  • For airport pickups, contact us immediately for delays or flight changes.

Partial cancellations

  • If multiple services are booked, the rules above apply to canceled services.

  • Cancellations less than 3 days before the service will not be refunded.

Note

  • Any transfer or commission costs are the responsibility of the client.

8. Meeting Point and Conduct

  • Private tours start at the agreed time and meeting point.

  • Late arrivals will result in lost time; tours end at the scheduled time.

  • Clients are responsible for informing BCITYNG of any accommodation changes.

  • If guides are delayed due to force majeure, they will contact you as soon as possible.

  • Clients must follow all instructions given by the guide for their own safety. BCITYNG reserves the right to exclude any participant who puts themselves or others at risk, without refund.

9. Intellectual Property and Content Use

  • All content on this website, including text, images, itineraries, and other materials, is the property of BCITYNG and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

  • You may only use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes.

  • Copying, distributing, selling, or publishing any content from this website without prior written permission from BCITYNG is strictly prohibited.

  • This includes copying prices, itineraries, or any part of our tours and experiences.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • BCITYNG is not responsible for damages, losses, or delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including accidents, transportation delays, cancellations by third parties, or force majeure.

  • Clients are advised to have adequate travel and health insurance.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Client information is used only for managing bookings and communications.

  • BCITYNG complies with applicable data protection regulations (GDPR) to safeguard your personal information.

12. Modification of Terms

  • BCITYNG reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

  • Changes do not affect confirmed bookings, unless required by law.
