We are not a tour operator, we are a small tour company belonging to Aguicat, for Association of Guides authorized by the Generalitat de Catalunya, as a platform for the Claim, Quality and Responsibility from our role in the whole of Local Tourism.

The soul of Bcityng
About the Owner:
Bcityng was created in 2020 by Maria Carmen Barrera, a licensed guide in love with her job, her city and Catalonia.
She was born in a little medieval village with ages of history, right in the center of Catalonia, called Cardona, in 1988. She grew up surrounded by nature, fairy tale buildings and catalan traditions, maybe that’s why she became being passionate about arts, history and culture.
To interpret Heritage and to become an outstanding tourist guide she got her Tourism Degree studying in Barcelona city. During these university studies, in 2016 she joined the Erasmus programme in the Italian Tuscany. She had the opportunity to learn from inside at several Tourist Information Offices, working abroad and gained priceless field experience.
When she finished her studies, she obtained the Accreditation of Official Guide by the Catalan Government, the Generalitat de Catalunya in the following languages: catalan, spanish, english and french .
She has been working for more than 8 years in the tourism industry: entertainer in tourist activities, tourism office front desk and hotel receptionist. She travelled around the whole world learning about every possible country, learning from different cultures and that’s why nowadays she knows your needs very well.
She considers herself a friendly person with lots of energy and some of her passions are travelling, cooking or dancing.
Experience in Guided tour companies before Bcityng:
Prior to Bcityng, as a freelancer tour guide, Maria Carmen owned a small tour company called Cool Tours Barcelona since 2014. In Cool Tours Barcelona we provided walking tours, bike tours, food and wine tours, bus and chauffeured tours in Barcelona and Catalonia.
We met wonderful people from all over the world, to whom we are grateful because without them and now you we would not have been able to grow and keep exercising our beloved profession.
After the 2020 world collapse for the Covid-19 crisis, we are back stronger, wiser and tourism-savvy; browse our new corporate website, we are committed to bring more value and information through it. So we can say today that Bcityng is Cool Tours Barcelona’s top project, as the outstanding guided tours company.

Yes, we do take Covid measures and it’s very important for us. That’s why we use masks, hydroalcoholic gel and our cars are disinfected after each service.
We are sorry, we are not a travel agency thus we cannot book hotels for you. All what we can do is recommend you a nice area to stay.
Yes, we do tours for Meetings and MICE in general. we prepare the perfect day for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions, and the most important, at unbeatable prices.
Of course! We have the best private tours with luxury cars and everything they need to make your days as romantic as possible.

Yes, you can have custom tours. All you have to do is email us at info@bcityng.com and we will do our best. Let us know your specific desires and needs and we will arrange it for you.
All the vehicles have the corresponding licenses to operate and are official. You can leave your luggage in during the tour, the driver will stay. All cars, vans and buses have the corresponding insurance in case something happened.
We can arrange hotel pick up and drop off. Just let us know.
Tours are carried rain or shine. How much we can do, only in case of very bad weather
conditions, we will contact you ASAP to move the timetable without affecting the day
much. Be alert and keep it in mind in that case.
Note that if we have tickets, we won’t be able to move them.
Your guide will try to maximize your time indoors. At any rate, come with appropriate
clothing and footwear. It will be an experience!
For cancellations and refunds, see our terms and conditions.
For regular tours, any time between 9AM and 10AM works fine in morning, half and full day tours.
For day trips out of town might require an earlier start.
For evening tapas tours start from 7PM to match the bars opening hours.
It depends on the tour. You will find all the details in our price list and description of tour.
Please do not buy the tickets yourself, we are official guides and we have to buy them in order to lead the group in and to skip the line with you.
They are not included, except in our tapas tour. Our customers can choose whether stopping
for lunch at some point, or if they will rather keep touring for the whole time. In a full
day tour a stop for lunch will be scheduled around the middle of the day, lunch time
still counting as touring time (not as a break). You can choose anytime what and where
to eat.
Lunch can be agreed with the client on beforehand; You only need to tell us what you prefer, and we will arrange it for you. That allows us to cater for special needs, notify us in advance if anyone has special dietary needs as for example: food allergies, gluten free restaurants, vegetarian restaurants and so on.
